''AMPEL' Annotator
Photometric classification of VRO/LSST alerts based on the AMPEL general purpose extragalactic transient classifier. The same model which provided the best classification scores in the blinded ELAsTiCC classification channel, using an architecture combining feature extraction, VAE and BDT methods. Note: Initial LSST classifications will should be used with extra care since (i) photometric redshifts with potentially large uncertainties might be used and (ii) the ELAsTiCC models were trained on simulated data. Future classifier versions will improve on these aspects. Requiring small AMPEL redshift category (<4), multiple detections (>5) and/or longer light curve (>10 days) reduces classification uncertainty.
